After a wait of 72 hours, Cyclone Nisarga made a thumping landfall at Shriwardhan-Dive Agar in Raigad district, hitting coastal Maharashtra with full fury. Due to the impact of the gusting winds, many trees and electric poles fell down in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. As per the India Meteorological Department, the landfall process started around 12.30pm near Alibaug, 95km from the capital city. Stay with TOI for all updates.
