The figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) which relate to the week of December 26 to January 1, but registered up to January 9, show that 21 of the 321 deaths registered in the two counties had Covid-19 mentioned on the death certificate - although numbers may be affected by registration delays over the holidays.
