German foreign minister will seek direct talks with Iran: newspaper

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas will seek direct talks with Iran to try to de-escalate tensions after a U.S. air strike killed Iran's military commander Qassem Soleimani, a newspaper reported on Saturday.
