Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott donates $2.7B US to charities, racial equity causes

MacKenzie Scott announced Tuesday that she has given $2.7 billion US to 286 organizations. It is the third round of no-strings-attached, major philanthropic gifts from Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, which together rival the charitable contributions made by the largest foundations.
