Nawaz keen to dilute impression of being Pak army's 'ladla' ahead of Feb 8 polls: report

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has instructed his party's manifesto committee to address the issue of being labeled the "blue-eyed" party of the military establishment. Sharif is upset over the impression created by his political opponents that he is favored by the military and set to return to power. He wants to counter this image ahead of the general elections in February 2024. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has formed 30 sub-committees.
