US journalist Terry Anderson once held captive in Mideast dies at 76

Terry Anderson, an American journalist who was abducted by Islamic militants in Lebanon in 1985 and endured six years of captivity, passed away at the age of 76 on Sunday. Anderson, who served as the AP's Beirut bureau chief at the time of his abduction, held the record for being the longest-held Western hostage in Lebanon until his eventual release in 1991.
