Trump Asks Congress For $4.5 Billion More To Deal With Immigration At US Border

The Trump administration asked Congress for more money to secure the U.S. southern border.

They are asking for $4.5 billion for emergency funding due to a surge in migration.

According to Reuters, the administration says the numbers are overwhelming government resources.

Earlier this year Trump said immigration was a national emergency and gained funding for a border wall.

Trump was able to redirect more than $6 billion in government spending to build his promised wall.
