Trump Thinks He Won Michigan's 'Man Of The Year' Award, But He Actually Received A Copy Of The Gettysburg Address

U.S. President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed he was honored with a Michigan 'man of the year' award.

Business Insider reports that he most recently made the false claim at his New Hampshire campaign rally on Thursday.

On Friday, former GOP congressman Dave Trott said Trump was likely mistaking a copy of the Gettysburg Address as an "award".

In 2013 Trott invited Trump to be the keynote speaker of the Oakland County Republican Party's Lincoln Day Dinner in Michigan.
