Arrests Ensue At Proud Boys Rally In Portland

Reuters reports police in Portland, Oregon arrested at least 13 people on Saturday, as a right-wing group marched to a waterfront park.

At the same time, anti-fascist counter-protesters struggled with officers, who tried to keep the two sides apart.

A rally by hundreds of supporters of the right-wing Proud Boys organization was met by a similar number of “antifa” opponents.

Isolated clashes broke out between both sides and between antifa and police as the gathering wrapped up.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving? Trump-Loving Grandma Gives Up Protester Grandson To Cops

A huge fan of US President Donald Trump has done her patriotic part in proving that justice is a dish best served cold. Newser reports the identity of a bomb-throwing protester in Portland, Oregon, remained obscure until someone claimed to know him. It was none other than Karla Fox, the 'Trump-loving grandma' of 18-year-old Gabriel 'Rico' Agard-Berryhill. Fox says she ID'd her grandson by the olive-colored vest she bought him with the word 'ICONS' on it. I love him to death.

Facebook has shut down more than 100 pages and accounts linked to Roger Stone and the far-right group Proud Boys. CNN reports Stone's own Instagram account was shut down as part of the takedown, which is part of Facebook's efforts to curb hate speech on its platforms. The network of Facebook pages and Instagram accounts spent more than $300,000 on ads to promote their posts. An analysis commissioned by Facebook found some of the pages and accounts included false personas.
