The National Transportation Safety Board on Wednesday blamed Tesla for a January 2018 crash in California.
Reuters reports the NTSB cited driver error and Tesla Inc’s Autopilot design as causing a Model S to crash into a parked fire truck.
The safety board had previously criticized Tesla’s driver assistance system Autopilot after a 2016 fatal crash in Florida.
Wednesday, the NTSB said that the system’s design “permitted the driver to disengage from the driving task” in the Culver City crash.
