We continue to track breaking news out of rochester where a police officer was shot in the head.

New information now as the officer has been identified 36-year old jeremy nash, an officer for 11 years with department.

According to wroc-tv, nash was taken to rochester general hospital and is expected to recover.

It happened around 10:45 last night on the north side of rochester.

No suspects are in custody as police continue a massive search.

Rochester police chief michael ciminelli and mayor lovely warren ask anyone with information about the shooting to call 9-1-1.

Farah: in the town of clay-- deputies say they needed equipment to help them breathe as they arrived at this home yesterday morning, finding dead animals and more than a foot of garbage.

The c-n-y cat coalition had called for backup on fitzpatrick drive, where eleven malnourished cats were found, according to the sheriff's office.

Two other cats had already died.

The homeowner, 64-year-old jane richards is charged with more than a dozen counts of animal cruelty.

Farah: family and friends of rasheed baker, an o-c-c student was shot and killed in syracuse's valley neighborhood, plan to hold a walk in his honor tomorrow night.

As baker's killer remains on the run, loved ones hope to bring the community together, and get answers that will lead to an arrest.

All are welcome to attend.

Tomorrow's walk will start at the centro hub on south salina street at 5-pm, and continue to clinton square, where rasheed's mom plans to speak.
