Bangor boys basketball put together a dominant campaign last season, but it ended at the state semifinals in the most heartbreaking way: a buzzer beater.
8 seniors from that group are gone, but the top three scorers return for this season, including double double machine grant manke who averaged 27 points and 14 boards last year.
Manke says he's ready to take on the best that opposing defenses have to offer.
"being a senior, you obviously want to better yourself every single year, and so do the juniors and sophomores on the team.
I guess it's just a goal to get yourself better every season as you play."
"he'll probably draw more attention from other teams, getting double and triple- teamed, fronted more often, make it harder for us to get the ball to him.
I think we'll have other players that step up, and he'll do a better job i think of passing out of it when he does see those double teams coming."
