Crew all "the fork in the road crew members" are "big fans" "of charlie's pub and grub" in terre haute.

Over the years..

"the crew" has highlighted some of their favorites "from charlie's"..

Especially "the tweety burger".

And speaking of "the tweety"..

Owners "cheyne" and "nikki o'loughlin" have unveiled "a ne version".

"mike latta"..

Shows us this burger "with a brand new twist!"

/////// //////// nat/// origination of the tweety right here.

The tweety burger named after former owners morris and betty tweety, has had customers stopping at charlies since the 70's.

"the tweety has been around forever, for decades.

And just being a part of it has been awesome for us, and making sure we honor the tradition and keep it the same as it's always been, same size, hand pattied, everything to do with it."

But now owners cheyne and nikki o'loughlin are taking the traditional tweety, and getting creative.

"we kinda started having fun with it and every month we come up with with a new tweety, just to keep things fresh, we get the staff involved , we get the customers involved."

Nat/// do you love just making heaven every day?

Yes i love it.

There are several different types of tweetys on the menu.

But they also feature a tweety of the month.

"the double wide, nitorious pig , you know it had several different kinds of bacon.

I super liked the krampus, we house pickled peppers and onions and then we used goat cheese.

You know which isn't for everybody.

Two valentines days ago we had one that had chocolate syrup on it, it was kind of a fun tounge and cheek type thing but it didn't sell real well.

One of the latest creations is the new yorker..

It's a half pound tweety with grilled pastrami, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, with spicy mustard on rye bread.

"this one is actually on track to blow every tweety of the month out of the water.

It's crazy" nat/// (ross trying new yorker) man....wow "actually the burger you recommended we were going to do as the burger of the month, when we got down to putting the new menu the chili cheese tweety, we put it through the staff with a few of the favorites, we threw that one in there and it actually got voted to make the menu so.

(ross) mike latta makes another menu (laughter)" nat/// i've got the chili cheese burger that's outstanding, first time i have had it.

It's really good.

You know that was my idea, you know that right?

I heard that (laughter) that's right, i suggested a chili cheese tweety that made the menu, so if i can do it, so can you.

"1 million percent, yeah...we love all the ideas, we have a whole list of tweety's that we are gonna get to so if you come up with an idea and it doesn't happen the very next month, we'll get to it, we promise."

In terre haute with the fork in the road, mike latta news ten.
