In butte county, health reps confirm 11 cases... glenn and colusa county both report two confirmed cases.

Plumas county has 3 positive cases.

Yuba has 9 cases.

Sutter reports 16 cases with two deaths.

And placer county is reporting 100 cases with 3 deaths...### chico state representatives have announced the first confirmed case of the coronavirus on the chico state campus.... a university spokesperson tells action news now... a sub contractor working on the university's new science building has tested positve for the virus.

As a precaution, construction at the site will be on hold for two weeks... more cases of the coronavirus are cropping up at the veterans homes in redding... the secretary for the department of veterans affairs says another staff member at the home has tested positive for the virus... and another is showing symptoms. the secretary says none of the residents show any symptoms of the virus..

Nor came into contact with the two employees..

### redding city leaders are set to close playgrounds as a move to ensure safety.

They say park staff are not able to keep up with proper maintence... the cleaning or sanitizing of the playgrounds between each use.
