<cam standup -"we are living in the hardest of tiimes right now.

One thing that can be particularly difficult is not being able to visit a family member that is living in a retired elderly community.

But those medical workers are working day and night to keep those people safe, and using technology to keep those families connected during those times.

As far as keeping them safe goes, the numbers are starting to show.

It is working."

Spring living has 12 elderly retirement communities in oregon.

Two of them are in medford.

They watch over 1,948 residents across oregon.

Of those, spring living says 1 person tested postivie for covid-19, and that person is now in good condition.

The challenge is keeping those residents connected to the world.

"you would be suprised at the innovations that are out there, and there is ways that we are connecting.

We have concerts happening in our courtyards.

Where people come out on the balconies, right?"

At springs living at veranda park in medford, ipad conversations with family members, easter sock monkeys, and bowling.

Those medical wokers asking the community to stay patient, and trust that lives are being saved.

"would'nt it be grand, if another two to three weeks, this summer, sometime when authorities feel it is appropraite that we have significantly less deaths and impact than projected.

Would'nt that be grand?

That would be the best possible outcome of this."
