Two nursing home residents in Amory died from coronavirus during the weekend

According to the county coroner, the two elderly women died from the coronavirus Saturday night.

The weekend from coronavirus in monroe county coroner alan gurley said two women in their eighties died.

Coroner gurley said both women were patients at river place nursing center in amory.

That's where nursing home leaders told wtva a week ago that someone tested positive for coronavirus.

The coroner did not say if the women died at the nursing home or the hospital.
