The heroes act is the latest round of economic stimulus aid for americans.
It passed through the house earlier this month.
Congressman bindisi spoke with us this morning via zoom and say there is a lot to like about the house version...which the senate is now looking at line by line... tc : 00:23 "the bill is not perfect but there are things in there that i am supportive of, particularly the funding for our state and our local communities.
In this bill theres more than $100 million that is coming to oneida county, $33 million for herkimer county, $40 million for madison county so many of the areas in our region which are facing pretty steep cuts right now due to loss of revenue would see pretty substantial amount of economic aid to keep essential services like police and service and fire hospitals teachers things like that."
Brindisi says there is also 16 billion dollars in aid to help farmers, including many in new york state who have had to dump milk.
