Local church continues online service for safety

North Green Street Church of Christ will continue online services to keep members safe.

Our area now have the green light to go back to regularly scheduled services.

However, some churches are saying they want to wait just a few more weeks just to make sure its safe when their congregation returns... "the coined phrase has been the new norm."

And north green street church of god and christ pastor richard price says the new norm is preaching to his members online... he says that wont change for another few weeks including wednesday night bible study... "we have suspended it on campus which is these two building but we are having it through our online streaming."

Pastor price says he and his staff made changes to the church for a safe reopen... when members return, pastor price will hold service in the life center instead of the sanctuary.

The staff placed chairs at a safe distance from the other and all surfaces are sanitized "we were planning to come back this week as we know we could.

But because of the response of the membership.

They have asked us to give it a little more time and we're going to honor that."

And although pastor price will not reopen his church this week he urges his members to stay encouraged... "and be not dismayed we will get through this and in the right time we will be back together again."
