>> well, thank god it's thursday, but because it's time for our pet of the week, and we're glad to be joined by sally langford, and she's joining us from one of her offices in west ashley with two adorable kitties, and you have a fist full of kittens.

>> i absolutely do.

>> what are their names.

>> this is tom tom and this is tabby.

>> they're so sweet.

And how did you find these little angels?

>> their ferrel mom was trapped.

>> how old are me?

Six weeks.

>> now is the time to place them in their own home, and they have been wi weaned off of their mom.

>> yes, and they're ready to go.

>> it's a big day.

Getting their surgeries, and tell us about the straight of the kitties in the low country, and it's kitten season, right?

>> it certainly is.

We're very fortunate because a lot of people have stepped forward to foster, and we have a lot of them in foster homes, but they're still in need of eph forever moms, and this is definitely a good time to add a kitten to your family.

>> they're very different from puppies, so if they have had a puppy and it's a completely different.

>> they are completely different.

Kittens are different than puppies of the.

You don't need to house train them.

You just show them where their litter box is, and you have to take some precautions.

We always recommend getting works because they will entertain themselves and you don't need a television if you have kittens around your house.

And one of the best things i did was adopt her from happy's porch.

And she's so much fun.

I did get a couple of puppies last year, and they require a lot of attention.

Tinkerbell, she knew what to do where and when, but she has a big appetite though, and we'll say that.

And with the other animals on happy's porch, if people need to rehope their pets, if they have fallern on difficult times, in poor health, do you have many animals in need of those homes.

>> we sure do.

And with a lot of things going on right now, there are a lot of people in difficult situations who are unable to take care of their pet the way they want.

And those animals can either stay on our property on john's animal, or if it's an animal that doesn't do well in a group setting, we look for fosters, and we have six animals now that are in those situations.

>> and i know it's involved with a situation where it has to do with someone's estate.

And you take that animal from that home to the new home.

>> yes, that's correct.

We work with people who are setting up their estate and them them make plans for animals they suspect will outlive them.

Some own animals like tortoises and parrots.

And no matter how young you are, the animals will probably be a long, longer than you are, so it's important to take that into consideration.

Any of the shelters in the area, and do you need anything right now?

Any supplies?

Kitten food is a big one.

Cat litter, obvious not obviously, and we need dog toys.
