For me the personal tie is we both grew up in houston texas.

If you look at this map i grew up right here and a couple miles down the street is where george floyd grew.

According to reports the texas man made over a thousand mile trip to minneapolis for a fresh start.

This is where one southern minnesota man met floyd and shares the heart warming moment he spent with him.

George marin is a pastor at grace christian church in albert lea.

He and his chruch travels to minneapolis weekly for various ministries and who he met a couple of years ago.... "he carried in all of our heavy tables, chairs and cones.

" is george floyd.

Marin says floyd exhibited the actions of man that put other first.

He recalls after the drive floyd approached him and asked if they were any extra coats left..for him.

Pastor marin: "i said sorry i failed you my brother i don't have a coat your size and he said no worries pastor g.

Then i remember i had my own coat which was a 4 x.

And so i offered it to george and he put up his hands like this and said no i can't take your personal coat pastor g.

I said please george.

Floyd finally took the coat and gave the pastor a hug.

While there are no pictures .... their interaction has left a mark.
