Lawyers held an 8 minute and 46 second moment of silence in front of the Jackson County Justice Building on Monday.

(take josh key) josh shelton says, "today, on the steps of the jackson county justice building, public and private attorneys from around the area gathered as part of a nationwide movement of lawyers joining and supporting the black lives matter protests.

Their protests look a little bit different then the ones going on around medford over the past few weeks, but their message was just as powerful."

And the 'i can't breathe shirt' worn by criminal defense attorney emily simon is not a recent purchase.

Simon first wore the shirt four years ago following the death of eric garner while in police custody in new york city.
