Fort Wayne police using videos from news outlets to arrest protesters

Probable Cause show no violence for Fort Wayne protesters arrested, accused of planning violent acts.

Tonight..two protesters have bonded out of jail after they were arrested tuesday.the two spoke with us after getting out and say they were targeted by fort wayne police....fox 55's chris mullooly joins us live in downtown fort wayne.

Chris..what were the two protesters charged with??

Hunter....some of the charges were refusing to leave an emergency incident... resisting law enforcement..

Rioting and obstruction of traffic...police in a release tuesday say they received tips that the two were planning acts of violence against the community and police officers....which the two say is not true.

3 here's the probable cause affadavits for both erin fogg and josiah dees.the affadavit says fogg was seen in a video standing on south clinton in front of a blue b-m-w... after she had done that..

.others surrounded the vehicle.in another video taken by a news source... fogg is at the intersection of berry and clinton yelling at a public official.on dees' affadavit... officers point to youtube video from fox 55 and nbc showing dees in the middle of clinton street walking in front of cars.they point to our video found on youtube where they say dees was 'chanting and carrying on' while protesters knelt in the street.these are all the charges both the allen county clerk and justice center were able to provide...none showing any violent charges.it also as they told me singles them out of the hundreds of people who were also walking the street or kneeling on may 29-th.we tried to talk to police earlier today to answer some questions on if there are additional charges or proof the tips for 'planning violence' are true.no one from fort wayne p-d was made available today.

Both fogg and dees didn't want to speak much either ..

Because they say they are working on getting an attorney.

We're going to continue this story tomorrow when we speak 3 with fort wayne police... as well as question mayor henry who will be revealing a new safety plan and address racial justice tomorrow afternoon.

Reporting live ...chris mullooly... fox 55 news.
