Safari guides have close-up encounter with agitated bull elephant

Safari guides were surprised with an antsy bull elephant during a photoshoot in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, South Africa.

The clip, filmed on June 23, shows Safari guide Emily and her partner Nick taking photos of a herd of elephants before a male started strutting up to their truck and pushing the vehicle.

Emily explained to Newsflare: "We were sitting with the herd of elephants when a male came walking towards us with a bit of attitude.

As we didn't have guests, we decided to see how close he would come without us pushing him away and he started sniffing the chairs then pushing the vehicle - we actually rolled a short distance - before we had to use engine noise and tell him to back off.

"I definitely don't make a habit of getting this close to animals but just occasionally it is difficult to avoid and with no guests in the back we felt it was not necessary to shout him down.

I love that the bush throws these little surprising nuggets at us every day - the best place in the world," she continued.
