Mississippi House speaker appoints Oxford mayor to flag comission

Speaker Philip Gunn appointed the mayor of Oxford to help choose a new state flag.

Speaker philip gunn announced his three choices to serve on the state's flag commission and one of them is from north mississippi speaker gunn appointed robyn tannehill to serve on the redesign of the mississippi state flag.

Speaker gunn said robyn's background as a businessperson in the marketing industry, and as a community leader in north mississippi makes her a perfect member of the commission.

She is known for her passion for mississippi and for having a forward-thinking vision for her community and our state.
