Feel the added stress -- that a messy home can bring.... but there is one tri-state team-- behind the scenes--- helping people keep their homes clean--*while battling some tough times.... tonight i introduce you to one company selflessly giving back--- as this week's hometown heroes..

They are considered the pros--- "we do residential and commercial cleaning..."

Dirt finders maid service--has been in the river city for the last 10 years--- but for this team--they wanted to find a way to give back to the tri-state--- "when i did the research trying to find something that would fit, i found cleaning for a reason...and it just seemed to be the answer."

Cleaning for a reason--based in texas--is a non- profit who partners with more than 12 hundred local cleaning companies like beverly's ----that has helped more than 40,000 cancer patients.

"we come into their home and clean their house...totally free..it doesn't cost them anything and we dont get paid for this service...it's totally a give back."

Clients must go through the non- profit first----but at dirt finders maid service-- within the last decade--they have helped hundreds of people locally-- enduring one of the most difficult times of their lives.... "if you're somebody at home and your house work is getting away from you and youre sitting there looking at it---it really helps alot to have somebody come in and give the house a freshening if nothing else."

To date---the cleaning crew has provided nearly 10 thousand dollars worth of cleaning services--- allowing families to focus on their health--while the team focuses on the home-- "we tell them please dont have us dust---do things like that.....have us do the major things like the bathrooms, the kitchen, the floors, the major things that they really cant and shouldn't be doing."

A small act-- making the biggest difference-- "we've had a lot of women who we have done cleanings for that have actually ended up passing away shortly after we've been in there so thats been amazing to feel like we were able to give them one of their last gifts they've had in life and then i think they felt at peace that they were leaving their families with a clean home at least for a little bit."

The cleaning team has been known to develop bonds with those they serve-- and while they can't get to every family-- that needs them their passion for cleaning---still going a long way.

"for us to come in and do that service for them it meant everything."
