A 9-year-old Utica boy opens his own lemonade stand and donates a portion of his profits to charity.

These days isn't easy.

But one local entrepreneur has already caught the eye of a few of his competitors.

And he's only 9 years old.

"i wanted to buy stuff independently without having to ask my parents for it.

And on a hot summer day, what better way to make a little extra spending money than to open a lemonade stand.

"he's very ambitious.

When he told me he wanted to open a lemonade stand i said go do it."

"so i've got regular, watermelon, mango, raspberry, peach and strawberry.

9 year old sean rivera... or chino as his friends and family call him... has only been operating chino's lemonade located at 1308 mary street in utica for just a short time.

Chino... "business has been really really good."

So good in fact he's already caught the eyes of some local business owners.

"i seen the way he was making it and i was just amazed.

9 year old out here on a hot sunny day and this young man is out here cutting lemons making fresh lemonade.

And the lemonade is really good."

"i've been in the business for a few years.

I mentor people across the country, and this little guy knew what he was doing."

To help out this young entrepreneur, the two business owners have teamed up to donate fresh lemons, and all the different flavors that go into a chino's lemonade..

"here you go" but there's more to this story than just someneig lemonade.

Teresa rivera... "the first day when he made all the money, he came up to me and said mom... i want to donate some of my money to charity.

One that really caught my eye was when he said he wanted to donate to breascans a survivor of breast cancer so that's really special to us."

Nats... 2 regulars?

He's on it.

"i am beyond proud.

I tell him this every chance i get.

He makes me so proud.

So if you happen to be out and about this weekend stop by chino's and pick up a lemonade.

He's open from noon to 5 pm on both saturday and sunday.
