Anytime anywhere learning-- is the expectation this year when students return to fort wayne community schools.> 00:03:20-00:03:35"we've been working for a number of years now to reach the point where we would be one to one with technology with students.

We initially thought we would get there for the 20-21-22 school year, but we're actually getting there a year early."

The district will offer students opportunities to work remotely this year if they choose to.

The school board tonight approved two digital programs that will have three year contracts.the first is k12 insight- which is used to conduct surveys and reviews.

The let's talk feature is provided through this.>"we've been using k12 insight for at least i don't know 5 to 10 years."the second program is the agile mind educational holdings inc.

Agreement- this provides a digital platform for learning math.the cost for k-12 insight is $130,000 and the cost for the agile mind program is $204,500 23:59:29- "what we first look at is does it align with our curriculum, so we have a curriculum that our teachers have written.

We want to make sure any tools we use, match that curriculum.

With those investments, laptops, and 9,000 verizon mifi's that will allow internet access throughout the year in most places, the board is optimistic about the school year.

>"if we want to continue through the summer, we have that option.

If we decide we want to pull those back in at the end of school, we have that option."

Each child would potentially get a bag, cord, and device.if students find they need a mifi with onsite learning, they can get one by filling out an application.reporting live jentill neal... fox
