They're making a "plan"..

That's to help students avoid summer learning loss.

News 10's jordan kudisch spoke with the vigo county "curriculum" coordinator.

She joins us live in our newsroom..

With their plan to avoid set backs during the time off from the classroom.

School leaders came up with a program that's going to help both the "students" and the "teachers" here's how... it's easy to stay on your phone..

Or get in extra screen time during the summer months.

So in order to get you "back" on track-- educators in the county..

Created a "mathematics jump start pacing guide."

It's a day 10 program that covers everything from last year's lessons..

To the next grade level.

For example a third grader going into the fourth grade would go over..

Multiplication..

Or how to read a clock properly.

These tests give teachers a better idea of how much the student loss over the summer..

And what to work on next.

I sat down with one of the creators of this program... she says it will help make subjects like math..

More fun..

And help take the stress of off teachers.
