Remington arms is filing for bankruptcy for the 2nd time in as many years.

And while company officials have hope for an outcome that would keep the ilion plant intact and making guns......what they don't have is control over that outcome3:19 "our business is in the hands of the courts and the courts will run this bidding process and we can't guarantee the outcome" the words auction and bankruptcy paint a frightening picture for village leaders .

So an auction would not be the way we want to see anything go" the remington attorney who sent this letter to the state, saying that terminations at the ilion plant would begin september 29th or within 2 weeks after that date, and be permanent as the facility might be closing.....would say anything else about the plant's future prospects.
