L3: abc 36 news white aclu reaches settlement in social media case involved former governor bevin block ... the american civil liberties union of kentucky, sued bevin back in 20-17 after he began permanently banning or blocking people on social media.

The a-c-l-u argued the practice was illegal...and that the thousands who blocked had a constitutionally protected right to make the comments on the governor's office's official social media accounts.

The a-c-l-u says it agreed to have the lawsuit dismissed after governor andy beshear took office.

The group says that's because a new social media policy was put in place.... clearly stating rules for users... giving notice to anyone who is blocked... and outling the appeals
