BCSO investigating deadly shootout in Berry Creek

Two men are dead following a shootout in Berry Creek on Thursday.

There is also breaking news out of butte county... two men are dead in a shootout in berry creek.

The butte county sheriff's office says deputies were called to spence way at two o'clock yesterday... to a report of a shooting between neighbors.

Deputies arrived to find scott halliburton with a gunshot wound near the driveway of a home, he died despite first aid efforts.

Investigators say witnesses told them halliburton was shot by his next door neighbor... matthew pia... who was found dead on*hi* property from a gunshot wound.

Officers also found large amounts of marijuana, firearms and a butane honey oil lab.

They say the shooting stemmed from a dispute over a property line.
