Carrie Lenarsic-Firestone who now lives in Connecticut wrote the book Dress Coded, a novel about a middle school aged girl combating dress codes in her school.

It is a realistic fiction novel that talks about a subject of a middle school aged student who start a podcast to combat in the unfair dress code in schools, firestone interviewed middle schoolers both locally and in connecticut she says as a mother of two middle schoolers herself, she wanted to write about what she was hearing from those she talked to.

"i have young teens in middle school and i started hearing stories about unfair dress coding happening in our area.buo young girls around the northeast including actually new hartford district and started learning that there is a lot of disturbing oes about fair dress ding ound the couny.
