Digital Learning Camp in Rome

Side Kicks Karate is offering a Digital Learning Camp and after school program for kids in the Rome school district.

Need a place for their remote learning.

Standup - "after hearing that the rome school district will start their year with remote learning only, the owner of side kicks karate says he decided to use his space to give kids a place to do their virtual learning.

None "we decided we were going to step up and turn our facility into a digital; camp for kids to come to our facility during the school day while parents are working that way they're in a safe, clean and healthy environment where they can take their school classes."

Sensei brian (seta key) seetge owns side kicks karate on erie boulevard in rome.

He says his goal is to help the kids in the community and give parents a piece of mind.

"our philosophy here is we're trying to help kids be their best by developing the yes i can attitude for every kid helping them to grow strong not just physically, but mentally emotionally and socially.

"we just saw that parents were frustrated and concerned so as a community leader we wanted to step up and be a positive outlet for the community and the kids and the school district."

He will be utilizing this space that he can't use right now to house between 15-17 kids, from kindergarten to sixth grade.

"what we're going to do is set up tables that are separated by the code, 6 feet, and give them space where they can actually do their schooling in a safe environment."

"i think we have about 7 or 8 kids signed up already so we're about halfway there."

He says the cost will be 125 a week.
