This comes just days after the community said goodbye to a two year old whose life was cut tragically short to gun violence.

Alan, good evening that meeting is set to start at 6:30 here at empower u, the mayor's committee on racial equality will be recent violence st.

Joseph has seen over the last few weeks.

That group is made up of community members who want to see less crime in the city and better relations between police and the serve.

Committee members told me last night's joint police operation in the city will be one of their main topics of discussion tonight.

Joseph, elwood and country club police departments teamed up with the missouri state highway patrol and buchanan county drug task force for that operation.

Police said a total of ninteen people were arrested in the operation and two firearms were recovered.
