Keeping families fed in the pandemic
Community Kitchen seeing a boost
During today's lunch the pandemic has exacerbated the need to feed those facing hunger.
The need has grown exponentially at the community kitchen of north iowa.
Kimt news 3's alex jirgens sat in during today's lunch hour.

"* this parking lot was packed with people coming for a hot meal.
Since march ?
"* dining in has been closed off ?
"* with meals being served to go.
Each day ?
"* an average of 150 peope come in for meals.
Executive director amanda ragan says an increasing number of families are in need..xxx "moms will come and carry meals home.
We have a lot of working people that come to the kitchen, and i haven't noticed that as much prior to this."
