Monroe County Circuit Clerk Dana Sloan said the process is a fairly simple one.

Monroe county circuit clerk dana sloan said the process is a fairly simple one.

You just drive up to the voting precinct and let the poll workers know you would like to vote outside in your car if you have the coronavirus.

"we definitly don't want anyone going into the precinct and exposing everybody else so we do ask that they contact the poll workers and do a curbside vote."

Dana sloan says curbside voting is simple.

"what they will do is that the poll workers will actually bring everything out to the car , have the voter sign in and vote there in their car.

And then the poll workers will take the machines back in.if they've got somebody with them that person just needs to go to the door , get the attention of a poll worker and let somebody know that there is a curbside voter."

Standup.."even if you don't live in monroe county, she says its the same procedure all over the state."

She admitted curbside voting could slow down the voting process, at the precinct if there are not enough pollworkers available to come outside.

"as long as there are three pollworkers inside ,the process will not stop in the precinct.

We shouldn't have any problem at all with the voting continuing inside the precinct.

We've tried to make sure we have enough workers there to cover everything."

Sloan predicted a large voter tunrout.

That 's why she hired extra pollworkers this to cover everything.

Coming up at six we'll take a look at the massive amount of ppe the state gave to all counties because of the pandemic.
