19-year-old Aidan Ellison was killed outside of Ashland's Stratford Inn on November 23, and the people who loved him want to ensure that he's remembered.

About who aidan ellison was.

More than two weeks ago the 19 year old was shot in the parking lot of ashland's stratford inn.

Since then community support for ellison has been tremendous.

Newswatch12's adam schumes first broke the story, and he joins us now with an update.

While the man suspected of killing aidan ellison remains behind bars --- his roommate his making sure that aidan's life won't be forgotten.

There is a growing memorial outside of the stratford inn in ashland " aidan ellison was my roommate, he was my friend, he worked for me at burger king" all for a life that was taken far too soon "aidan had an infectious laugh, a laugh that you could never forget he could walk into a room and his vibe would just light up the room" monday november 23rd " once i was able to check my phone of course i came home and i asked her if aidan was okay when she told me what happened and she said no and that didn't register because i didn't want to believe that" will go down as a day that jeremy yost won't forget " he's such a good kid its hard to believe that anybody would do that to him" aidan's ellison's roommate "its amazing" is now making sure that his life won't be just a distant memory " it not only shows how unified we are as a community but it shows how unified we can be as a public you know and its incredible that the people have shown up like they have to support him and be there him and be there for his family.

As the days and weeks pass by without aidan "you will never be forgotten" jeremy knows that aidan is still smiling down on all of the lives that he impacted "he used to think that nobody loved him but boy was he wrong and i hope he knows that now" a go fund me effort for
