Postmaster kathryn harris says the united states postal service is already swamped during the holiday season.

Covid-19 adds another layer.

Harris "we're overwhelmed, but our employees are ready and so eager to help provide service this year."harris says up until about december 19, folks are good with priority mail arriving in time for christmas.

Harris "but after that, i'd recommend priority express mail."

She wants to make sure her packages arrive in time for her 3 grandchildren.brace "we've decided not to get together because of the covid virus."

She says it's hard not being together in person, but they'll still connect virtually.

Brace "we're going to zoom, so we will get to see them open the presents."

Usps spokeswoman mary dando has a tip to ensure your packages arrive at the proper destination.dando "make sure to get the zip code right.

To do that, don't guess.
