Denver Missouri man sentenced to 30 years in prison for murder of Melissa Chapman

A denver, missouri man is convicted on murder charges in the death of a grant city mom.

Jeremiah searles was sentenced to 30 years in prison today for the murder of melissa chapman... searles admitted to killing chapman by hitting her with a cinder bock and pleaded guilty to the crime.

The 42-year-old grant city woman disappeared in august -- her car was found abandoned in mount ayr, iowa shortly after.

Authorities located her body in mid-september -- and from early in the investigation family and friends suspected searles of wrongdoing.

According to them -- he was her boyfriend at the time.

A second person has been charged in connection to chapman's murder -- kimberly henry-tinkle, she is in the dekalb-davies county jail.

Tinkle's been charged in worth county for tampering with evidence, hindering prosecution and abandonment of a corpse.
