Local students building community garden at Enloe Medical

Now at six.

While the pandemic shot down hopes for a science fair..

Local kids are taking part in another opportunity for hands-on learning: three sixth graders from nord county school broke ground on their garden project at enloe medical this morning.

Their goal was to create a community space that cultivates native plants and supports the bee population.

Lyla kinney "even though it was a lot of hard work it felt really satisfying because it was over after awhile of research and getting this and that."

The students coordinated everything over zoom and spent long hours researching and contacting different locations to house their project.

They hope this will inspire other young kids.
