In this part, Shepard continues to aid his crew with their personal problems, securing their loyalty to him and to the mission.
Shepard takes Grunt to do his rite of passage in the Krogan tradition as well as gain membership to clan Urnot.
Shepard then heads back to the Citadel to help Garrus track down Sidonis the Turian that betrayed Garrus' team.
Thane wants to stop his son from following in his footsteps.
And Samara wants to track down the crazy killer from Asari space.
Gameplay wise, I wrap up the last of the loyalty missions I'm doing for now.
Next time will be the last side mission and then the Reaper IFF mission.
