Russian Science Fiction - Teens in Space Part 1 - Moscow Cassiopeia

Moscow Cassiopeia is a classic science fiction film from the soviet era.

It's similar to Star Trek: The Original Series but with teenagers.

The film, directed by Ritschard Wiktorow, was produced in 1973.

The followup, Teens in the Universe was released in 1974.

In the film, a signal from the constellation Cassiopeia is discovered.

Teenagers are made astronauts and sent to Alpha Cassiopeia to make first contact.

It's calculated that only young people will be able to make the journey to and from the planet as they will age considerably during the journey.
