US diplomat Henry Kissinger dies aged 100

Henry Kissinger, one of the most influential and controversial diplomats of the post-World War II era, has died at the age of 100.

He served under the US presidencies of Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford in the 1960s and 1970s.

He was a man many believe should have been held to account for war crimes, whilst others regard him as one of the most effective secretaries of state in US history.
