Spring Grove acquires West Side funeral home

A longtime family-owned funeral home is being sold to Spring Grove Funeral Homes, a wholly owed subsidiary of Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum. Gump-Holt Funeral Home, at 3440 Glenmore Ave., was founded by John and Olga Gump in the 1930s and has been operated by their daughter Marilyn and her husband, Larry Holt, for nearly 60 years.
