Air arrivals to Hawaii have dropped sharply in the last week

The number of arrivals by air travel in the Islands has dropped substantially within the last week amid travel restrictions put in place in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus. The total number of daily air arrivals statewide was down by 87% on March 24 compared to the same date in 2019, according to Hawaii Tourism Authority and data collected by the Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism.
