Pursuit Minerals Ltd (ASX:PUR) has identified strong anomalies during an Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM) survey conducted over the Calingiri East prospect of the Warrior Project in Western Australia. The company believes these anomalies may be due to PGE-nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation. During the survey, the company identified an estimated 7,000 metres of combined strike length of airborne EM anomalies. An extension of the Calingiri East survey to the west and south has identified a new anomaly of around 1,500 metres strike and also increased the strike of another anomaly to around 2,300 metres. The overall Warrior AEM survey, comprising survey blocks at the Calingiri East, Calingiri West, Wubin and Wubin South exploration licences, was extended to 1,922 line kilometres of data collection of which 1,371 line kilometres had been flown as of February 24, 2021. “Significantly advancing project” Pursuit CEO, Mark Freeman said: “Extending the survey as announced last week has identified an additional late time anomaly and the extension of previous anomalies at Calingiri East, significantly advancing the Warrior project. “We look forward to the commencement of on-ground field activities in the short term.” AEM survey ongoing The ‘late-time’ EM conductors are associated with magnetic anomalies interpreted to be due to mafic or ultramafic intrusive rocks, which are known to host the PGE-nickel-copper mineralisation at the Gonneville Intrusion on Chalice Mining Ltd’s (ASX:CHN) Julimar PGE-Nickel-Copper Project. The overall AEM survey is expected to be completed before the end of March and delivery of the final data is expected in mid-April 2021. Following the delivery of the final AEM data, follow-up ground programs will be initiated to start drill testing of high priority targets during the second/third quarter of 2021.
