Mumbai's daily positivity rate for Covid hits nearly 5%

Mumbai's daily positivity rate touched nearly 5% on Wednesday, the highest it has been in almost eight months. In just seven days, the city's positivity rate grew from 1.2% to 4.8%, a straight four-fold rise and a strong indicator of the beginning of the third wave. It has led to a corresponding rise in the positivity rate of the state to more than 3.6%, again its highest in almost three months.
