Symptoms mild, don't panic over rise in Covid cases: Niti Aayog member VK Paul

India reports 21 cases of JN.1 variant of Covid-19 with Goa recording 19 and one each from Kerala and Maharashtra, causing mild symptoms and no panic. Active cases in India rise in last two weeks, with 16 deaths among Covid-19 positive patients, mostly with co-morbidities. Government well-prepared to deal with any situation. Health minister holds review meeting to assess Covid-19 situation and preparedness for upcoming festive season. India needs to be alert against new strains and ramp up testing to track new variants.
