Maharashtra Minister Sanjay Bansode instructed health officials to ensure the availability of necessary equipment for the JN.1 Covid variant at government hospitals. In a meeting in Latur, Bansode emphasized the need for precautionary measures and availability of ventilators, oxygen cylinders, and medicines. Collector Varsha Thakur-Ghuge, CEO Anmol Sagar, SP Somay Munde, and other officials attended. The JN.1 variant has 22 reported cases in India. Testing kits are provided for symptomatic patients, and Vilasrao Deshmukh Medical College has reserved 50 beds for new cases.
