Have got four threat calls from ‘Dawood, Shakeel aide’: Eknath Khadse

NCP MLC Eknath Khadse received four threatening calls, with the first from an international number on April 15, and three subsequent ones from domestic numbers on April 16. The caller claimed to be an aide of Dawood Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel, speaking in Hindi and threatening Khadse's life if he didn't "mend his ways." Khadse, unable to discern the motive behind the calls, filed a complaint with the Muktainagar police in Jalgaon. The police, led by SP M C V Maheshwar Reddy, have registered a non-cognisable offence and are investigating the seriousness of the threat. Khadse, who had left BJP in 2016 and joined NCP in 2020, is planning to return to BJP.
